Zoo Postcard
Illustration and Sequencial Art / Spring 2021
Project
The project was to make fake post card illustrations for the Saint Louis Zoo. In this project I was supposed to just make the illustrations, no typography.
Idea
The STL zoo is broken up into 6 sections. I then picked animals from each sections that would go together in a geographical location. The illustration style was greatly inspired by the YouTube channel Kurzgesagt
Sketch
I started with sketch layers in procreate. The sections in order are Red Rocks, Rivers Edge, The Wild, Lakeside Crossing, Historic Hill, and Discovery Center.
Final
This project, I wanted to try the new Adobe Illustrator app on my iPad. It was incredibly easy to draw these simple vector illustrations.
